RFSL Ungdom is the Swedish Youth Federation for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) Rights. The organisation was established in 1999 as local branch of RFSL and became a separate, autonomous organisation in 2003.
RFSL Ungdom is one of Europe’s largest and most influential LGBTQ youth organisations with 2,000 members throughout the country. Members can, for example, engage in a local branch, create or join an activist group, or participate in one of our national projects.
RFSL Ungdom operates at local, national, and international levels through its range of support and advocacy programmes, from social activities to political lobbying.
The highest decision-making body is the annual General Assembly; between General Assemblies, the decisions are made by the Executive Board. RFSL Ungdom’s National Office is located in Stockholm, with about 10 employees working in different projects.
