RFSL is happy to announce a call for proposals for LGBTQI+ community-based groups, initiatives, and organizations from the Eastern Partnership (EaP) region.
Under the programme “Queer Solidarity in Eastern Partnership: Beyond National and Regional Borders” RFSL provides small grants to groups who are led by and/or the projects that are focused on historically underrepresented and under-resourced groups: bi+, intersex, lesbian, and trans* communities.
WHAT: RFSL offers funding for up to 100 000 SEK (approx: 9 065 Euros) for up to 8 months. The funding can be used for community mobilizing, capacity strengthening, service-provision activities, campaigns, staff and admin costs, rent, etc. The funding cannot support humanitarian expenses and emergency relocation.
Note: RFSL covers the fiscal host’s administrative costs, if applicable, in addition to the grant. The 100 000 SEK grant must be used exclusively for project activities and project-related costs, and should not be used to cover fiscal host fees.
WHY: This funding aims to strengthen grassroots initiatives, community collectives, and independent advocates operating across the Eastern Partnership region. Because the most impactful frontline work is frequently carried out by agile local groups facing hostile political climates, we prioritize funding for smaller and community-led groups.
WHO: We welcome applications from all groups that are led by and/or focus their work on bi+, intersex, lesbian, and trans* communities based or working in the Eastern Partnership countries and/or with community members from the region in exile.
WHEN: The deadline to apply is 15 October 2026, 23:59 CET.
